I just realised I haven't updated here with what all's been going on with our art business..
We started selling our art at a local Farmer's Market, where the upstairs is more for artisans, and suchlike, March 6th. :)
We've been involved with that, and from it has come the invatations to do several Psychic Fairs and alternative religion conventions, so now we have TWO "booths". :) A permenant one at the Fair, and a "mobile" one for conventions. :)
Pics of the evolution of the booths will wait for another day.
In that we've finished several paintings, and due to the "ginger ale budgets" of those who frequent the Market (or the EXTREME bargin hunters..those of the "I'll give you $20 for that 2 piece painting that cost you $800 to make.") We're making our OWN stencils nad making some pretty "not QUITE original for we make copies/ but not prints" artworks for cheap. :)
On with the paintings!
First the Bee stnecils.
They're made with metal leaf, silver (sold before I photographed it), copper and gold.
The Silver one went to a local druid's grove...
The Sisterhood of the Silver Bee Hearth and Grove out of Kitchener.
Another got traded for a Silver Pendant.
With the flash
Gold Leaf on Royal Purple

Without the flash you can see how the metal makes the bee just JUMP off the canvass!

Copper Leaf on Forest Green

And Penticles

We have some Trilliums too, but I need to photograph them!
And now some paintings!
Kat won a blank canvass and she wanted her portrait done, giving the world the finger!
It was *THE* entertainment at the fair while I was painting it!

and as most of you are aware.. I DO NOT, repeat DO NOT actually "work blind'. I usually have a photograph i work from to "make" an image.
These next two "painted tehmselves". No photos, no plans Nada...
AND they've been the FASTEST paintings I've EVER done...
The Grail Maiden was painted as a donation in Liu of an entry fee for a 3 day convention called Mystic Roots.
They wanted us, but 3 cons in one month meant the $$ wasn't there. They're raffeling it off at a larger week-long gathering called Spirits Fest

detail of the hem

And the "Goddess Trine"

and within the goddess' symbol, in a transparent paint is a penticle.
It glows in a dark blue, the same shade as the crone's robe.

I hope you enjoyed these!
