Crossing lines...

I was sitting here thinking after posting to CK about Beyette, and realised something.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I always used to think that there were things that one did NOT allow, or do. But the people who came to me telling me about Beyette breaking his parole, one and all told me when I asked them "Why are you NOT reporting this to the police?" Said to me varying lines of "I don't want to be a snitch". ( With two exceptions, one was that SELLING child porn was Ok as long as he wasn't MAKING it, the other was leaving town and "couldn't be bothered with the hassle and possibility of being brought back as a witness")

WTF. HE's preying on CHILDREN. MOST of these pple reporting to me were PARENTS!

um HELLO?!? I'd think that protecting your KIDS is more important than worrying about being considered a "snitch".
What if it ws YOUR kid he victimised? Wouldn't YOU want someone turning him in?

I mean if some 20 to 30 year old is pushing drugs to public schoolers, you SHOULD report him. ( Highschoolers on the other hand can make their OWN decisions about that shit. WE all did.)

If another 18 year old "gangsta" shoots up a bunch of public schoolers because an "enemy gangsta's" picking up his kids.. the shooter SHOULD be reported..Right?

Shouldn't KIDS be the one line that nobody crosses?
I mean hardened criminals don't put any truck with child molesters or pushers to juvies..so why do the "respectable citizins" let them get away with it?

If one agrees with that idea, why is it that whenever the "childfree" advocates get into an argument with a parent, the VERY first ting the childfree people go after in insults is the CHILDREN of the person they're arguing with? OR if that parent has pics of their kid up as icons or whatever, those pics are the FIRST things the Childfree people mangle..? usually with really derogotory comments or ( as one did with Syanorra) cutting and pasting to make ( if it were REAL) child porn-like images? Or Thirdly Threaten to sic Childern's Services on them and threaten to take away custody of that person's kid? Even when the argument has NOTHING to do with someone's kid, but something ELSE the Childfree person is advocating?

Maybe I'm just old fashioned like that.. but I'm sorry, Even thought I think ALL newborn kids are ugly, I'm NOT gonna TELL the mom that for Bast's sake! I may snark to others about someone's kids looks, behaviours or whatnot, but I'm NOT gonna go and yell at kids in the mall jsut to make 'em cry!

And no matter how much I may wish certain people on Pluto or even farther out.. I won't EVER deface pics of their kids.

What I don't get is why others WILL...
