Not as big of a failure...
Oct. 21st, 2006 01:35 pmI'd been reluctant to post here that I'd found a TEMPORARY place for the three fosters, as I HAD been hoping to get them to a "Forever home" from here. I didn't know how well they'd take to the abandonment a second and third time, as was afraid they'd lose all trust of humans. :(
Frankly I'd been feeling like a failure for being unable to find them places.. BUT After a few e-mails describing the kitties to their new foster home, so they could be put on the Waterloo Cat-Rescue site, it turns out that they're going to keep Smokey AND BJ, and Pepper's young enough that he can take a fourth re-homing with out harm.
*happy dance*
Pepper had had many interested people here in London, but they did NOT want to pay for HALF of his vet bill for his Neutering. ( I was covering the shots..so it would have been FIFTY DOLLARS ONLY!!!) and since he NEEDS the expensive Royal Cannin catfood ($36+/bag) to make up for the malnutrition caused by trying to grow on crap... I couldn't in good conscience turn him over to someone who wanted a cat "on the cheap" :S But Waterloo's Cat Rescue's gonna make sure that he gets to a family that can afford him. :D Yay!
So all-in-all It's not a TOTAL failure, just a partial one. :P
So I feel better now. PErhaps I can go out to the bar tonight without killing anyone. :) My temper's in better shape today. :D
Pics of kitties will get put up as soon as I find the &^#%%$^ cable for the camera!
