Holy SPIT!!

Well today I did it. I found my material for my wedding dress.  Hell, I went one better and *BOUGHT* it.  That's right... I BOUGHT MY WEDDING DRESS! The material jumped out and bit me.

 It's a off-white cream based chiffon with a darker almost copper embroidered border. ( It's *supposed* to be for drapes! LOL) It's long enough that we're going to be taking the scalloped bottom border off and applique-ing it to the bottom of the under dress.  There are two other bands on the material that will be the border banding on the tunic part of the dress. Since it's supposed to be for drapes it's long enough to make the dress AND cut off the bands to applique. LOL. The Under dress is a slightly darker cream silk/satin, but the border will look smashing appliqued onto it. Can hardly wait for the fitting! *bounce bounce*

 

Also got the maid of honour's material too. ;)  Black with a gold shimmer to it.. ( the gold shimmer looks "olive" on the black, like the shimmer ona raven's wing or a crow's) But it reverses to be a non metallic gold with a black shimmer to it. So her dress will be black under dress, with the "gold" out for the tunic. :) If it won't be too much trouble I'm hoping Fran can sew it to be reversable so Nikki can wear it elsewhere with the balck side out for the tunic. :D If we're *really* lucky I can find a "reversable"  gold and black  trim, So the trim will be black with gold accents on the black side and gold with black accents for the other side. :D 

 

Still every twenty minutes or so it hits me....

HOLY SHIT! I JUST BOUGHT MY *WEDDING DRESS*!!!
