Chraitmas Day Update
Seriously, it went ok.
I think someone put the fear of god into them. no "you want me " so-called jokes, no sniping, and they did most of the prep and cleanup. ( which is a GOOD thing because I was SO tired after being up most of the night coating the mousse cakes in chocolate , and then the cats waking me @ 6.. yeah 3 hours of sleep? gah!) that I became a "sit like lump and blink like owl" shortly after dinner. ( dinner was at 8pm tho.)
the rum and coke and the two glasses of Matisse wine helped with that tho I'm sure!
Yeah we arrived close to noon and by 3 pm I was tense enough yet relaxed enough that I had a rum and coke with the boys. ( shoulders were knotting waiting for the shoe to drop)
Surprisingly the shoe did NOT drop. so it was a good thing all-in-all.
But I really don't get the insistance on giving people the WRONG CLOTHING SIZE..
I'm sorry but if after losing 35 lbs, and I WAS SMALLER THAN YOU TO START WITH,
and I'm NOT A REGULAR SIZE 16 yet...
WHY DO YOU TELL US YOU"RE A SIZE 16?!?!
I don't get people like that.. do you WANT us to give you clothes that you HAVE to return?
Or are you planning ahead for the 'they hate me SOOO much that they ALWAYS give me clothes that are too small! Calling me a fatty?" delicious drama wank?
Hey but if that is ALL I have to complain about on this visit? Great!
Question for all you in the childcare world...
Is it normal for a child, (when he's getting scolded, either loudly OR mildly) to clap his hands over his ears and duck?
